Teeth in a Day

What are teeth in a day?

Teeth in a day is when you have either a single missing tooth or all your missing teeth, or we are going to take out all your teeth and then put teeth back in. It's called teeth in a day and it usually is very well planned ahead of time and you can walk out with teeth in your mouth.

When is someone a good candidate for teeth in a day?

Depending on your circumstances on how many teeth you have missing, how much bone you have, what your health is, if you smoke, if you are on weed or you've been a chronic smoker, you have health issues. Depending on your personal circumstances, we can customize a plan for you and we can tell you what kind of teeth in a day you will be eligible for or would be a good fit for you.

When is someone not a good candidate for teeth in a day?

You might not be a good candidate when you have almost no bone left or you waited a really, really long time. However, I always recommend that you see your dentist and if you come to us, we will gladly guide you to what your next steps would be and give you the appropriate direction. We always make sure that the plan that we choose for you or what we recommend is the appropriate plan for you.

What are the pros and cons of teeth in a day?

Teeth in a day can be life-changing. Many people have low self-confidence because they have very bad teeth that doesn't look good. It prevents them from having a social life, from having girlfriends, boyfriends, or jobs, or self-esteem. If you get teeth in a day or fix your missing teeth, it can be life-changing. I have patients who've gotten married, have gotten new boyfriends or girlfriends, new jobs, promotions. It can be life-changing depending on your personal circumstances.

What are the advantages of teeth in a day versus dentures?

Teeth in a day are fixed and you don't have to worry about taking them out daily or after eating. They act and almost feel like your normal teeth. All my patients absolutely love it and it gets as close to as being normal as possible when you've lost all your own teeth.

What is involved in the process of getting teeth in a day?

Teeth in a day depends on your personal circumstances. It usually requires getting your remaining teeth removed, getting some implants placed, getting some impressions taken. It's usually done when you are asleep or you're put to sleep. Sometimes it can be done under local anesthetic. It depends on how many teeth you need replaced, what your personal circumstances are, how your health is and everything. We've treated a variety of patients with a variety of circumstances and all our patients are extremely happy.

Is the teeth in a day procedure painful?

No, it's not painful because you're anesthetized or you are asleep. After the procedure, you are given medication to control the pain so it's not painful.

What anesthesia options are available during the teeth in a day procedure?

Teeth in a day can be done with local general anesthesia where you are sedated and put to sleep. If you're getting just one, two, three placed, you might not even need anesthesia.

How long does it typically take to heal from getting teeth in a day?

From teeth in a day, the healing process is not usually a lot. You pretty much rest for that one day and then the next day you should be more or less normal with medication. But we do say you could possibly go back to work depending on what you do. If it's light office work or something light that you do, then you can definitely go back to work the following day. But we will give you your personalized recommendations depending on how your procedure went.

Are teeth in a day permanent?

Yes, teeth in a day are permanent. They should last a relatively long time, but you do have to maintain it, you do have to follow instructions. Sometimes you can get infections just like you can get any other infection. Depending on what your personal health is like, things do change but they should last a really, really long time.

Are there any special instructions for caring for my new teeth?
